I have a discus tank which is at 29 degrees temp. what plecs can enjoy this temperature or is it really to warm for plecs.

I have L128, L25, Royal, ancistrus and L264

I'm aware frompast experiencesthat I haveto keep an eye on them incase they suck on to to the discus

Out of the list you have there your best bet would be the bristlenose, this sounds really harsh but if i was to lose one it would be that plec above the rest, however the royal will withstand discus sort of temps the best but then you have to make sure his environment is adquete for it ...ie wood and not to much of a meaty diet.

cheers Jen

the bristlenose are in with the discus at the moment .

Its only cos its the nicest looking tank I have and I was wanting to put the L128 in there cos its the easiest tank for me to gaze at and the one I spend the most time looking at !!!lol sad eh

I was looking at a tank on plecofanatics just for plecs and was wondering whether to change my 150g to just plecs and maybe a shoal of cardinals/tetras.... not sure. I want some monster plecs you see

LOL, unfortunately the 128 is a definite no no, temps are way to high in discus tanks :(, but i like the idea of plec only tank lol... (no suprise there lol)

cheers Russel

been looking more into the L128's and I see they require a fast current and lower temps. My new one is in my big tank and that has a strong flow which the silver dollars swim into all the time. hopefully he'll do ok inthere

Big tank of plecs sounds great eh!! I can;t remember who it is but a post today on plecofanaticsd had a good sized tank full of some mega specimen plecs. looked well

Probably well too late for advice on this but i've got l333's in my discus tank along with a whiptail plec and some l168's and they all love it,
