Plecostamus

Well mailorder "wood" be to easy. My wood sinks so I'm going to keep on trying - I've been collecting drift wood for a few years so maybe I'll try a piece that I haven't burnt yet.

Maybe I'll soak it for a few more weeks. Lets see what happens.

Cheers

Ok I would have posted sooner to this discussion if I hadnt been without the internet for 2 weeks (Lightning was the culprit) Anyhow. For plecs some are carnivourous and some strictly vegitarians you need to find out what you have. If its just a common plec then blanched veggies are good but be aware there are stictly meat eaters out there. Natural bogwood contains a substance that help plecs digestive tract. But beware you must remove ALL salt from the wood. Salt will burn plecs. It is very dangerous. Many other fish like a little salt in the aquarium. Such as your friends Oscars. If you ask me your asking for trouble buy using wood from the sea. I also saw your in south Africa so you may be limited so good luck. I hope you find the solution. Also did you ever noticed any symptoms on your plecs? Also you can look at the gut of a plec to see how well hes eating you should not see a sunken belly!

Split the skins so they can get at the mush inside..... :)

Well the peas are peeled for the pleco but the sharks chomp them before it has a chance.
