Plecos

I just wanted to know how long are Plecos supposed to live because I have had my Pleco for about 10 years.

Depends on the species. Some may only live a few years and some can live to 20 years I think.

common can live a LONG time... like they get about 18'' and 1'' a year or so... so maybe 15 years!! (just a guess)

Alot of catfish can be especailly long lived and Plecos are no exception, they can live for 20+ years in optimum conditions.

They have pretty healthy lifespans provided they have the room and the proper care. Many cats get to many feet in length, so it must take them a while to get to that length.

Wow that is really long, I would like to have mine for that long. I take really good care of it so it might live around that long.
