Plecos..?

Just wondering whether plecos are an agressive fish...
or would they be fine with some platies and neon tetras....???

Not at all - plecos are so quiet other fish could bully them...

I have a huge pleco - about 20cm long and he is as good as gold....

Anyway...plecos rock and your tetras will be fine

Ples aren't aggressive as a whole, some can be with others of the same or similar species. However, which plec you should get will depend on the tank you have, as some common species grow massive and all plecs are very messy fish.

15cm isn't huge. 15" is huge...

Aaaah I miss Hawkins, he was a lovely plec.

Obviously, like Kathy said, it depends on your tank size. If you've got a 2 or 3ft tank, you dont go for one of these:

15" plecs r nice mines a 12" such a baby they're only agressive with plecs of similar sizes good luck

My plec is so dopey and definitly not agressive although I guess with all fish they do have their own temperaments and I'm certainly no expert! Mine is placid enough that if food pellets accidently fall on him when being fed other fish have eaten off his back with no reaction!

i have the same plec, he/shee not sure, is only 4inchs big right now and is the biggest fish in my 20g and if my neons swim to him to fast he darts away!

If so and its being fed properly- it'll be growing an inch a month and will need a bigger tank quite soon

my 12" pleco is in great health they can be agressive... but with most plecos it seems VERY unlikly good luck
