they do fit in 29 gallons so the monerator who said that is wrong

A six inch pleco will soon become a seven inch pleco, then eight, then nine....

There are some small plecos, but the most commonly available grow to 12 inches or more.

Which pleco do YOU have?

Chaestostoma thomasi (rubberlip pleco) is indeed one of the smaller species although if you're so keen on saying 'look it up' I suggest you look at the minimum tank size recommended on the site that you posted a link to...

As I said, 29 gallons is too small for many plecos.

they also say that a 2 inch fish needs a 20 gallon wich is not true because 1 inch of fish equals 1 gallon of water "THANK YOU COME AGAIN"

cant say nothing to the 1 inch of fish equals 1 gallon hahahahahaha

I can say that's it's a very unreliable guidline that doesn't take the species of fish into consideration.

By your reckoning, I could keep a foot-long fish in a twelve gallon tank, or 20 dwarf puffers in a 20 gallon tank.

Nonsense.

Plecs produce a lot of waste and most species have a high oxygen requirement. That is why a six inch plec needs a large tank. It has nothing to do with the length of the fish.

So what you are say if you have one 6 inch fish you can keep it in a 6 gal tank?

Min tank size is also for swimming room and movement.

sounds good to me 1 foot=12 inches=12 gallon yup whould work fine
