Pleco

i want to put a pleco in my tropical tank but one of my friends said i need to do something with the ph level of the water, can anybody offer some advice?

my water is ph7

most plecs will be fine in tha

what sized tank is it - as common plecs get to 12" and sailfins 18-24"
