I have what I believe to be a common pleco. I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago and my husband was watching the fish (he helps take care of them, so knows what to do). When I got back, I noticed that my pleco had a pinkish sore on his nose. They had just finished a treatment with melafix because of another fish's fin looking funny to me so I decided to just watch him for a while. It turned white and looked like it was healing. Then, today I noticed that it has turned into a fluid filled blister. Other than that, he seems fine, moving around alot and eating like usual (which never seems to be alot)...
It looked like he had rubbed his nose on something, but I am not sure what is going on. Does this sound like anything familiar to anyone? Can I just keep an eye on him or should I try to intervene?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
