Also, how do I tell if male or female? I’ve had these about a year. One has grown much larger in size, so I was wondering if that meant one of each. Thank you.
1st pic is the larger one.

I can’t tell, are those spots on his/her body?

I need to know in order to properly ID it. :)

How much did you pay for them?
If they were cheap they are probably common bristlenose.

They look like common bristlenose catfish to me. I would say they are both female.

Male suckermouth catfish have hairs on their pectoral fin spine and the females don't.
Male bristlenose catfish will develop bristles on their face and nose.

Different sized fish can mean one gets more food than the other, or the smaller one might have worms, gill flukes or other parasites that are hindering its growth.
