Plec Id Needed

Could be I guess - but the colours are confusing me a bit too. Perhaps post back with some pics a couple of months from now. Or perhaps someone else can say for sure now already ?

No reply on there yet... but here are some more pics:

LOL we're not allowed to say he yet!! I wish he/she would grow bristles (or not) and make it obvious what sex they were so we could flipping name him/her/it.

S/he is cute though isn't s/he?

He's IDed - he/she is officially ancistrus triradiatus. :D

And yes, looks like he/she has the beginnings of bristles, so hopefully we'll know soon what sex he/she is!

Interesting - though have to say (and sorry to question again !) but it looks little like an LDA72 - and the youngsters must obviously have clearer markings then than the adults :dunno:

Interesting.... keep us updated with piccies as it grows :good:

That was the concern I had Bloo but I think their markings fade as they mature in some cases (and those pics are of the same two fish I think?). I've googled triradiatus and seen a few with the spots. Apparently you can tell he's triradiatus and not sp. 3 because his markings in his pectoral fins are reticulated. :dunno:

Here are some links to pics (they're named as triradiatus):

then you've got the brown mottled version on PC. Very confusing! My daughter Connie (7) says the one on PC looks like (and I quote) "A poofish", whatever one of thems is.
