Please Help My Favourite Fish Is Dying!

Good luck, I wish you all the best, but i've seen to many fish look that way.
I gave my orange pip two years with swim bladder, but once she laid on her back for weeks i knew she was finished.
Thanks very much.
He has been like this now for 3-4 days if he isn't going to get better how long do they last like that?
I feel awful leaving him in this way but I don't know what else to do.

Only you know as his owner when you should let him go. A lot of fish can live like this for months and not get better.
If you feel its time to let him go then use clove oil to do it.

Think I might leave it for a day or so or is that cruel?
Never used clove oil before, how much do you use?
Any advise you can give I will be very grateful of.

He still hasn't picked up, can you advise whats the best thing to do?
I've heard if you use clove oil as soon as you take the fish out of the oil they come back round.
I know you have given alot of help with this for me and was wondering if you can give me a step by step guide to how to do it and mores to the point get it right.
I dont think he is going to get better do you?

No to be honest, some members add vodka with the clove oil.

In a bucket put in a gallon of water from the tank and place the fish in it. Take a small lidded container and place in it a little water, 12 drops of clove oil and a little milk so the oil will mix and shake vigorously. The mixture will turn cloudy adn then add slowly to the bucket with the fish. The fish should gradually get dopier and dopier. After 10 minutes check on the fish and if the gills are still moving then do the same again adding the mixture slowly. The fish wont be stressed by this as you are gradually upping the anaestheitc effect and check again after 10 minutes. Once the gills stop moving leave for a further 10 minutes and the eyes should glaze over. The fish can then be taken out and put in the freezer to make sure he has passed.

Thanks for that Black Angel and for all your other help and advise.
My little baby passed away through the night so at least his suffering has ended, think I knew all along he would but hoped he would pull through.
At least I can honestly say I tried my best for him but he wasn't strong enough, now when I look back I think he must of already had it when I bought him because he has always swam funny. I thought it was because he was fat and instead of swimming he sort of wiggled through the water and thats the main reason that attracted me to him.
Anyway thanks again for all your help and advise I am really grateful.

Sorry he passed but at least you did what you could.

Bless her, sorry, R.I.P.

I am very sorry to hear about your fish. I know how hard it can be to watch a fish die. May he Rest in peace.
