Okay first off, I just moved my little discus into my oscar tank with 2 juvenile oscar in it. The reason I did that was because in my other tank where it was at. It didnt seem happy it's always stay in one corner the tail fins I think are a bit, biten off. The color of my discus is light blue but, now it always stay dark blue I can't see its natural color. Only sometimes it's true colors comes back. It might be of my other discus aways chasing it and headbutting it. So I moved it to to my oscar tank at first the oscar try to nibble on it but than everything seems ok now. Is there a way to help my discus to keep its beautiful color without fading or so?

So I was wondering will my discus be lonely? I have 2 small discus and 1 large one. Should I move the big one to the oscar tank instead? Or should I move both small discus into my oscar tank? Will the oscar eat my discus? right now in the oscar tank I also have an arowana and a pleco the arowana isnt that big I think its still a baby or a juvenile.

Thank You for listening to my story.

Discus tend to do much better in groups of five or six, even four would be better than three together, it would spread out the aggression and hence the stress on the fish at the bottom of the pecking order. I never seen discus bite at tail fins or take bites out of them, it might be fin rot or something else, though I only ever had six.
I don’t know that much about Oscars but they can easily attack any fish even ones much bigger than themselves. They could seem fine and when your back is turned they could easily kill the discus. Even small arowanas have big mouths.

Generally a dark discus is a very unhappy fish, even when they are stressed they don’t usually loose their colour unless they are in serious trouble. If your tank is big enough I would try keeping all the discus together and adding at least another one. Alternatively you could find another home for the bullied discus. You could post your question again in New World Cichlids forum, people there would know more about your fish than I do. You could also add your tank size, ph and test results for ammonia nitrite, water hardness etc.

Usually in a group of discus, especially when bringing them up form young, there is a runt of the liter. This rute will be smallest, eat last and be picked on by all the discus. Sadly it will most likely die after awhile but taking it out will just put another in its place. The Oscars will probly be too agressive. what size is the tank? What other fish are in the discus tank? Are all your other discus in good health?
