hi guys,
 
i have received a few messages and i am not able to read them even though i have made a few posts. can someone please enable me to read messages.
 
to those who have messaged me i am not ignoring you i am just not able to read any messages at the minute

i have joined the site and responded to a few threads and some of which i am awaiting responses from which i may have in my inbox but i am not able to read them.

Sorry, I didn't know how to say it any clearer so I just said it again. The restriction is listed in the general rules you agree to at sign up. They are also found in the navigation at the top of the site. The short answer is, you must have at least 60 substantive posts.

I am not part of the admin/mod team. But after you have made 60 posts you will be able to have acess to your inbox and other things in the forum. That is what tcamos meant. You are new, that is why it is restricted but soon enough it will be open to you. No worries!!!

You can always reply to your threads where members may have pm'd you, and get them to post their responses on your thread?

Just explain as you are new, you are currently unable to access your messages.

Guess I'm not alone. I can't make heads or tails of this site. I asked what I thought was a very important question when I joined and never received an answer, now it's to late.
60 post is excessive on a web site and I went to the Face Book site and could not figure that out eighter.
I suggest to whom ever runs this site to make it easer for us non Tech people to use this site. I need information not to sit and let my fish die waiting for an answer to a question I might not be able to find on the web

Looking at your posts on the site http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&mid=114296 which one did you need an answer too? It looks like you got your question answered 11 minutes after you posted it.

Is it possible to allow new members to have access to their inbox to read messages but not allow replies?  That might help newcomers like Starangel and stop spammers from being a nuisance.

You all know I listen to suggestions and have enacted many of them. I'm not against well thought out complaints. However, when I look at the activity in this case...
 
Starangel got an answer 11 minutes after posting. Though above they say they, "...never received an answer and now it's too late."

Marblelancer wants the PM access because he's in the classifieds looking to buy something. Not due to a fish emergency. Classified rules state that you work out everything in the thread and only use PM for payment and shipping information.
