Playing Football

well, summer is spring is upon us, and i am wondering who else will be playing football this summer. i am playing for a local towns U17 team, its my first league year actually, though i played in a tourney as keeper last summer, which we almost won, we lost the gold medal game in shootout...

so, is anyone else playing the beautiful game?

Sure will be!, got a 6 a side league starting in april where im at so starting there on brand new 3G Pitchs.

Then got another 11 a side team to enter into the local sunday league when we finally sort out some sponsorship and other various aspects which you dont think you will have to deal with

I envy you goalies haha hate being in goal, but then i again, i try to be either upfront or anywhere for that matter played last 2 seasons in defence, got to a cup final too! trophy and medal and a big spread in the local newspaper! didnt win so i feel your pain!

oh, im not playing keeper for the U17 team, unless i must, its not nearly as fun, but i pulled my groin, and the season starts in a month, so i hope it can heal before then, i also play rec every friday night and sunday afternoon, so i will be playing 4 times a week, i wish it could be 7 times a week though, but you can only wish... lol

I don;t play anymore but my 7 yr old son plays regulalry for a team. He was a goalie till feb 09 and since moved down to his own age group as a centre back. I love watching him the kids football is great.

the kids are ruthless and play with so much passion!! agreat sport to get into when young

Its the summer who's palying football? Crazy Talk! lol Footballs all about going out in the Icy weather!

I play all year round with my mates every week, we occasionaly go into 7 a aside tournaments, unfrotuantly we never really have a keeper which is our problem. I've not played for a few months with knee problems but hopefully will be playing again soon

first game of the season on monday, my game last wednesday got canceled. and im stuck with keeper, but if one of the two other guys who want to play keeper then i get centre mid with one of my friends.

well im keeper for the season, and we won 4-1

my team got 2nd in the league, only one loss all season, and it was the gold medal game...
