Platy Fry

my platy gave birth few days ago and i have put the fry in a trap and i was wondering should i turn the light off or on?
and also how long should before i put them into the main tank?

i only turned light off my fry tanks at night and it on all day so i can see them and attempt to count them , and i usually put my fry back in main tank when they are about 3-4 weeks old but yet i have had a lot of fry service in my tank with out removing them

The lights don't really need to be on all the time. I'd say whenevr you want. Just not at night. The fry get over stimulated and freak out with light on at night.
