I bought 4 platies yesterday from my local lfs

I got home, floated them added them etc etc all very happy.

Just went to feed them I am have 14 babies ----- -erm help?

what other fish are in the tank, size of tank?
like mommyof2bettas said, a breeding trap is best to save the fry, or even a container floating on the surface is useful for a short period, compleating daily water changes.

i cant put the small tank in as that tank is in use as my sisters "sea monkey" aquarium. (Yes i am saying to her they will go down well in my main tank)

tbh I dont want any young but my dad does. He is setting up a tank for them as i type this. I have a small plastic tank I have flosted in the main tank in which to raise the 5 remaining babies, the others I guess are hiding/been eaten.

Now, how do I go about feeding them? I put a couple of blood worm in the tank they kinda sucked at them but thats it, I even put some sea monkeys in it. they got nibbled. I have some "fry" food i made myself - crushed fine flake. will they be ok on that?

cheers more advice so far

yes, crushed flake is good, there are also food made especially for fry which you can feed, such as liquifry.
