Platies give birth to trouble

My platies gave birth to quite some fry and FIVE have survived. I fear overcrowding in the near future. What can I do? Tanks.

I'm planning to get other fish. Five full grown platies for my 8-gallon tank would be disastrous. But I dont' wanna kill them off though...

You could always try selling them to your lfs . I would take them but you live too far!

LFS are the 3 words or letters ive got for you let go uptil 1/2 inch and take them in and tell them you have not room itll work if they say no just tell them your gonna kill them then... well somethings gotta work

Of course, the trouble now is to translate "PLATY" into Cantonese...

ARGH! Ever since I installed a lamp my adult platies are hiding. Are they not used to it, or do they need some cover from the light?
