hi,

im always having my plants float to the top of my tank and its really annoyin evan though i put them in the gravel and the next day it just floats back up!!!!!
what can i use wich is safe for the fish and cheap or common in a house

thx for lookin

Buy plant weights,i buy a roll of it and just use a piece for each plant.

find a roofer and ask for a small offcut of flashing cut it into small strips and wrap it round the bottom of the plants

i know lead is not PC so to speak but they use it in the LFS so why not

forgot to ask if the plants are plastic ? if so silicone them to plastic coffee jar lids and weigh down with gravel

hi,

the plants r real and yeh i have a couple of plastic plants wich tend to float to the top and i think ill use the lead and coffe jar lid ideas thx for this

Also goldfish are famous for uprooting plants, mine do it all the time.

ok thx for this guys ill have ago and thx for the info 2

Most pond plants should be planted in no hole pots using a mostly clay low organic soil. Even koi will not be able to uproot them after they have established their roots in this type of soil. Problem is you will not be able to take them out to repot them in larger pots or to divide them without cutting the pot they are in.

Cheers
Todd
