I agree with LP, weeping moss is my favourite moss out of them all i think. Grows ina very uniforn compact manner rather than wild and whacky like Java. Maybe a small piece of Anubias Nana Bonzai on there too just for a little variety? I'm sure the plants have grown a little already!
Pogostemon helferi average but the Rotala wallichii isnt doing all that great. Might have to remove it and move the Pogostemon backwards and clip the HC and replant in the middle a little.
Not sure if the Rotala wallichii is supposed to melt then regrow, but i think spreading it out a little more might help, i'll try that first.
Im thinking i might go buy another couple of pots of HC in the week and check out the bigger nano's, this one is ok, but its so small it feels kinda pointless if the HC is going to do well then i think i'd rather see a larger carpet of it.

Not pointless mate, have a look at my journal "A sense Of Space" lol HC carpet growing in there and its 1 litre lol, if the scale is right it will look good no matter what size you tank is.
Yeah but thats the thing, to you its not pointless, you are getting enjoyment out of it. I quite like reading about it, but i'd rather let someone else mess about and do it than actually do it myself. Now if i can carpet half a tank with a base thats 2'x1' and watch it expand to fill the whole lot, then i would feel a sense of achievement. But piddling around in a puddle doesnt do it for me
