what happened to that plan of yours to buy some L046 of a guy in the UK?

They are probably not ready yet. Dunno if it's going to happen though, I'll email in a few weeks and see what he says. My plan is to get a group of 4-6 and breed them and then sell them on at cheap prices for people who buy a group to breed. I'd probably be quite selective and sell them to people I know would try to sell them on in the same way.

lol @ ryan I do love litte, pretty plecs! That's exactly it! I would love L183s but my LFS are the type that stock only common plecs and trimar don't have them. If I knew how to go about sending fish through the post/courier I would rope you into it but I dunno about that.

i heard they take forever to grow to a selling size and are difficult to breed...is that true?

I have had the discus about a month and a half, I am not sure how old they were when I got them. I think they were quite young though.

As for the zebra plecs, I think they are ok for breeding once they are settled in. I am not sure how long they take to grow but the guy said he had some fry that would be ready in about 6 months, so that's quite a while.



Oh, I also got a better pic of some of the discus. What they are beside is a tempature gauge sticker, so you can see how ickle they are:

The baby angels are no more

They hatched and everything was grand. I put them in the 40l but they all died when I went away to Glastonbury, all but one. But he later died too.

I am hoping, now I know I have a pair, to breed the angels again sometime in the future.

Thanks for the comments about the tanks. I really like the 78l one too, just a few small fish. It's nice and simple and the fish have plenty of room.

That's too bad!! I know you were excited!

I had about 5 spawns with my pair and then one day the female, while pregnant, was starting to swim up behind the intake tube and so I put her in the hospital tank and added some antibiotics and she dyed in the night.....pregnant belly and all! It was rather sad, I guess I wasn't meant to have Angels.....

Well, here I was just sitting minding my own business when the discus start getting my attention and saying please take a picture, look we are being still and together now, please! So, how could I refuse?!
