Plant And Shrimp Help!

I am getting some live plants today from someone who was just selling them from their aquarium.  They are also selling cherry  shrimp. I would love to get the shrimp too because my lps doesn't sell them.  Are they ok just to be put in my main tank strait away? Same thing with my plants.

It depends... Does your main tank have fish within it? If so, what kind of fish. This will determine whether you'll be able to keep RCS. You see, RCS are very small and brightly coloured, making them a meal for alot of fish. The plants should be ok, you might want to rinse them off before you put the into your aquarium though. You could soak the plants for 24 - 48 hours just to be sure, but they will probably be fine.

I have guppies and neon tetras. So they should be alright. Are they ok to be put in?
