Planning To Add These Fish ....

I am getting a 72 gallon tank and am planning to get these fish:

- 2x Ocellaris Clownfish (Tank-Bred)
- 1x Six Line Wrasse (Reef-Safe)
- 1x Firefish (Could I also get a purple firefish?)
- 1x Yellowtail Damselfish
- 1x Kaudern's Cardinal

It is going to be a fish-only with live rock and ill probaly add coral and aenomes later. Will these fish be fine? And if they wont, then PLZ make suggestions on what fish i could get.

Sounds like a plan to me! And yes, you could have both firefish in a tank that size....
The only suggestion I can give is to add fish slowly (like one or two then wait 2 weeks before adding another one or two), try to add both species of firefish at the same time, and to add the sixline and yellow tail as your last fish. Sixlines can sometimes be aggressive and of course the yellow tail is a damsel so you always use caution when adding one.

Wot no Dwarf Angels or Tangs

I have had both fish in a full reef set up (Still have the CB) and never had an issue with nipping my corals
Althought it does obviously depend on the fish itself

CB's are apparently less likely then Flames or Lemon's to nip, but as I say it is down to personality

I did some reasearch on tangs. Would a hippo tang or a Powder Blue Tang be fine in my tank? Also can i add anymore fish to my first list, or am i basically stocked.
Also will all those fish be fine with invertebrates?

What are the dimensions of the tank (quite important when concidering a tang)

Also is the volume US or UK ??



On you original list you should have no probs with most inverts (Shrimps, Sanils, Crabs, Stars, Conches etc.)

If i add the tangs will i have any more room to add more fish or will i be stocked?

One Tang would be possible but IMO you'd be better off considering Dwarf Angels instead. A single Tang will restrict your stocking drastically whereas a Dwarf Angel would allow room for a bit more diversity.

Lets say i do add a dwarf Angel to my original list, will this make me stocked, or still allow for a couple more fish?

I have had many dwarf angels and i have only found a small handful to be coral nippers. Lemon peels are notorious nippers whereas coral beauties are very very well behaved. Of course as already mentioned there are fish and then there are fish! but on the hwole you should find you are ok with most dwarf angels.

I tend to see that many people on tff have a royal gramma. Would it be compatible with invertebrates, corals aenomes, mushrooms, polyps, and the fish from my original list?

Oh yeah royal grammas are good community tank mates, unless someone tries to invade thier rock.

Royal gramma are all show and no guts (Unless they are the Brazilian gramma and thats a different matter ). They usually act all showy and will come out of their hole slowly with mouth wide open and threatening.. This usually works but if the invader stands its ground then the gramma usually turns yellow and darts away and sulks for the rest of the day! They are gorgeous little fish with loads of character, completely reef safe too

Coral beautys are a great choice IMO,mine even ate the hair algae that developed!

Go for it,Eiblis angels are quite nice looking but i dont know anyone thats got one.
