I think that we should all stop picking on Gobymaster. It woulden't be wise if we all bought the first tank that we saw, now would it? Because GobyMaster is only 14 he needs to find the tank that is most affordable for him, and we should all respect that he is shopping around instead of simply asking his parents for the tank. I know that I respect him for that. What I'm trying to say is that we should let gobymaster do some reasearch and when he is sure that he has found the perfect tank, he will let us know and we can help him from there. But picking on and being rude to people isn't getting us anywhere.

gobymaster, if you really are done with this thread and want it to disappear, then ask a mod to lock the thread. you can start another one to discuss potential stocklists once you have a firmer idea of what size tank you intend to get.

your tank is going to cost alot of money i asked my mate how much a tank that big would be to make and he said about 3 grand thats about 5 grand usa dollars then you have to heat it filter it and many other things alot of money.

dont get down hearted but i think you are going a bit over board with a tank that size at your age and income etc ps unless your parents are millionaires

where would you put it, how would you heat it what filters where you going to use water change something that big will take alot add the cost of all that and it will be a fortune

please dont take offence of this post as im just trying to explain the long term costs and time it will take to run it etc

as i said on the plec section please take note of this think serious and think before you type do your reserch properly it takes a long time not just a quick read up personally i agree with pica_nuttalli that this thread needs to be locked to stop some one getting upset as this forum is not made for that

I found this website, Aquariums Direct,and they sell a whole bunch of really good quality aquariums for a fraction of the cost of a tank of the same size and quality at your LFS.

Oh, and just you guys wait. Sometime next year I'll post that I got my 225 gallon tank and I'll rub it in your face
