Piranha Caught In River

That's incredible.

There's also the Signal crayfish in the UK which was released into the wild, and is really affecting our native species. Our White Claw is under threat as well as many fish species.

At least these can be caught and are big enough to eat!

i would release my fish into a healthy river system or lake if i had no better option... fish are tough from what iv found and can adapt well

I would have thought people using Tropical fish forums would actually learn things....Zagggon you are not fit to keep fish...or probably any animals, and i was wondering can you actually keep yourself...its people like you who are killing of natural ecosystems and its people like you that brings bans on certain fish in countries thus bringing genuine fish keepers into disrepute...Makes me sick

this may sound very bad but if you cant be arsed to look after your fish and you dont want to take them to you LFS then its more wise to kill them (humainly of course) as you could destroy a whole eco system for the sake of a few lives and in blance 1 or 2 lives compared to 300- 400 . still the BEST POSSIBLE THING to do is return.

Here in Maine it is illegal to own koi and some types of big fish, because when they get to big people will release them into the streams and lakes and distrupt the ecosystem. You have to have a permit to legally own koi, and in the whole state of Maine there is only one person who has one. There was this one man who had to give up his koi and he had had them for years and years because of the law.

An update to that was a lot managed to be rehomed but many were euthenised because they were too far gone to save.

That vid was sad, but to be fair it could have happened to any fish population when the sluice dried up.

But the sheer numbers of comets in there was incredible!
