Pictus Catfish

hello roomies,
i am having alot of trouble getting info on what goes with pictus catfish they are was two of them i took the one out of the jd tank.. was told they will work in that tank that one is 90 gal with lots of hiding places.. i had only few hours one got killed grrr... so i took other one out and temporarily in ten gal, will put him in 80 gal as soon as i set it up ...just hope he dont eat my shrimps i have in there... cherry shrimps .. hes presently inch half to two inch long hes a small one ... what i want to know is what to put with them would barb tank work or what other types of fish i used to have a site where i used to go but cant find for the life of me so im hoping someone here will help me out... i just purchased the 80 gal tank so i have to set it up ,will get it today and set it up .its used!! :hyper: so i will fill it and cycle using my other tank with the pump so tht it will partially cycle and few things from that tank as well will move into that tank ... im planing on getting plants and all set it up as planted tank .. i want to do it all right ... im excited ... now as for info for lite i dont know i will wait til i get it i was told theres two florestant lite type so im assuming its made for plant as she said she had plants previously and worked well so i hope thats the kase .. any suggestion and help will be greatly appreciated

Firemouths and blue acaras (pairs)
Gibbiceps
Oscar
Harlequins
Danios
2 adult platies and some fry (a lot of fry get eaten..even at fair sizes, 2 are mature enough to be left alone now though)
1 guppy and fry (fry get eaten but some may make it)

Lol, well i'm not gonna ask that guy for stocking advice,

Pictus will go with any none aggressive fish that are over 2-2.5 inches,
so any good sized cyprinids, (i.e. sharks, barbs, danios, botias) or characins (i.e larger tetras or SDs)
or peaceful cichlids, (i.e festivum, rainbow cichlids, sajica, severum) will be fine
