He is a stunning lil guy and what a show off he is too. I just have to ask are you feeding him Brine Shrimp every night as his main diet?

Thanks Devon Charm so far I have feed him Brine shrimp 3 days in a row he has also been fed pellets but he spits them out and I also tried him on flake and he does the funiest thing he only eats the green coloured flake and wont touch the red yellow or orange flake pieces talk about fussy Do you think I should feed him something else? since he has been fed Brine Shrimp he has started making a lovely bubble nest.

It is good to feed them the live foods but not every day as a main diet as they will be missing out on other nutrients that they need. You could try fasting him for a day then try the flake again, as this does have every thing he needs.Your so lucky, he is such a nice betta

Ok great thanks Devon Charm the brine shrimp I have been feeding him are frozen but I did feed him flake last night however he still will only eat the green pieces of flake strange boy.Last night a moth landed on the surface of his water and he ate it I was thinking it was ok that he ate it maybe even a good source of protein ... it wont be bad for him will it?I will make sure I feed him on flake brine shrimp and even get him some blood worm a well balanced diet

My little white boy used to love it when moths landed in his water he would stalk them then snap them up, it never seemed to harm him in any way and i guess they eat flying bugs in the wild

he is lovely. i'm rather envious... i've been looking to get a betta and i thought i've decided on a half moon, but now that i've seen yours, maybe i can extend it to a butterfly too... as long as it as good looking as yours.

I thought since he was born in Thailand I'd better give him a thai name ... then I looked up the thai meaning for beautiful coz he is such a pretty boy and a big show off and I liked the way it sounded so I thought sŭay was perfect for him
