haha.. the opaque is from bcbettas.. only $5

umm yea i might do the yellow.. the female is a delta i can tell.. almost a HM tail .. and for a female, i think thats nuts... i think im gonna have to put her by herself and start conditioning her..

i ordered some microworms from endparenthesis.. they should be here monday or tuesday im guessing.. so hopefully by next weekend i can start the breeding fun..

i think im gonna drive to wal mart tomorrow and search for big jars .. i have like 7 bettas now in small containers from petcetera, and i want to find bigger jars for em... wal mart is like a 30 min drive, and i work at 4:30 tomorrow.. and petcetera, and a big als are right by wal mart, so im gonna have to go to both of those places while im at wal mart..

which means i will have to wake up at like 10am :'( :'(

u wake up at 10! ur amazeing dude, i dont wake up till 12 anyway, y dont u just divide off a 10 for ur fish, i think in the long run it'll save u alota time a maybe sum cash

i usually wake up at about 1... but on the stupid days that i have to work at 10 i have to wake up at 9 which sucks.. i absolutely hate setting my alarm on days off, so hopefully someone can wake me up.. whenever i set my alarm i have a habit of waking up every half hour to look to see what time it is.. damn annoying when i go to bed at like 1 and wake up at 9 am.. i lose a lot of sleep doin that..

i dont really have any room for more tanks.. i mean i could start going into other rooms of the house, but dont want to have to deal with it.. i think the heater(s) should be good enough. ill ask my parents and see what they think..

im pretty sure the heater(s) will be fine tho


.. back in the day when i was a high school dropout i would go to bed anywhere from 5am to 7am and wake up just before 4pm (when my mom got home from work) and pretend i was up all day.. what a waste of so much time

well im in high school so right now im just sittin aropund waitin for school to starte again i cant wait till its over iv got my 10g divided in half but im pretty sure im gunna turn the whole thing into a female community one day and have seperate tanks for my males. im runnin outa room quick to so hopefully my parents will lemme finish off a room in the basement for all my tanks

hehe, if Betta Genetics were easy then everyone would have what they want. There would also be a book on it, but what fun is that? Even the great breeders are still battling with Betta Genetics. Recently on the CBS yahoo boards several top breeders were discussing the black genetics, and even they are still pretty much at a loss, but they are working with it big time and who knows, maybe someday someone will have a breakthrough. I love the fact that it isn't "all figured out" yet, I like the unknown

Actually, yellow is a "nothing colour" no matter what you breed him or her with, there will be a very low percent chance that the "yellow" will be in the fry

actually yellow+white makes dirty white (or ivory)
yellow is also just red so you could get some red wash too. (most likely a lot since your male already has red wash-although i cant see it in the pic)

i think you can really only breed opaques with blue bettas (any blue) to get decent looking offspring.
you just get an opaque steel, turq, or royal.
like those colors with the chalky opaque layer over them.
does that make sense?

i think i get it... i might even try the marble.. the male isnt a full DT i dont think.. so i think breeding him with a DT will be ok.. i do have a blue/turquoise DT female.. ive had it forever and dont have any pics of her as of now..

i just bought 4 ottos (1 died in bag on way home) it was extremely fat.. thought it might be preggo.. guess not lol.. $1.67 each

i also bought 4 pygmy cories $1.99 each

a $10 thermostat heater, and some betta bites $2

kinda pissed that 1 of the ottos died.. i live far from wal mart so i cant take it back.. o well its only $2...

oh i also got a java fern.. $3 .. i have some alrdy but not very healthy.. this one has lots of leaves and theyre all bright green !
