Pics Of My Beautiful Bettas

Hmm, who knows. a little salt and methylene blue could be good for him anyway. Im not sure does it destroy the bacteria in your filter?

I really don't know cos I keep my bettas in unfiltered bowls. What I do know is that the methylene blue's absorbed by activated carbon - one of the media in the filter. And if you use it on an 'unsick' fish, it does more harm than good.

Ok I'll do that, and It's been there ever since I got him but I'll add salt and see if anything changes.

Yes betta splendens (domestic betta with all the pretty colors and long fins) are sometimes called Siamese Fighting fish. The males will fight if they come across each other so they are kept seperate and the females while they can be aggresive are usually ok to keep in a tank of 10 gallons or more with 4 or more individuals, but usually are kept seperate in small tanks of 1.5 gallons or more like the males. Glad to be of service on your question.

haha no problem. Are you getting into bettas icekat?

Cool, This is probably the best place to learn about bettas before and while you keep them. Great bunch of people on this forum and they helped me get started up in bettas too. :good: Keep us posted on your betta keeping progress :)
