Pics Of Hybrids?

Looking for pics of hybrids... not your basic parrot cichlid, but things like convict X parrot or any other type of new world cichlid that has been hybridized with another NWC. I only have 1 hybrid right now, but looking to try to create some of my own.. just curious what has been done and what the fry look like. Thanks

Yea I'm waiting on my parrots to grow and pair up.. I have lots of them in with lots of male convicts, so hopefully in 6 months or more they will be big enough to breed.. I've got a pair of convicts breeding, and a pair of rainbow cichlids breeding.. I don't really need to breed anything else right now, just curious.

Im not gonna lie I think that hump is a horrible thing. Nice fish Nice colors but agreed the hump is not my thing.

On him the hump seems to fit just right, he looks gorgeous, very healthy. I have to admit though, that I'd be verrry tempted to call him Quasi (short for Quasimodo-of The Hunchback of Notre Dame). But thats just my mischieviousness...I think he's a handsome fish, not deformed at all; literally, pardon the pun, in the pink of health. Now a fish I cannot get used to is that bubble-eyed goldfish species...I forget the name but they're fairly fragile due to the eyesacs...to me that is one UGLY fish...but then I think moose are cute so who am I to talk???

To each his own and that's a beautiful fish!

I dont know i would expect another fish, A twin to grow out of it but i guess not, That hump i cant get over how odd it is. Yeah well again it is a nice fish. Agreed those goldfish are horrible.

Those guys are sooo cute, but they're evil. My LFS had a pair once that would try to attack you through the glass

This is the 2nd one I have now..... I un-overstocked my 75g tank.. took out all the convicts, except for this new guy, and he is doing great... not mean to any of the other fish, but seems to want to have a 3-some with my pair of JDs...

The other one I have is a complete maniac... grew a hump within a week of me getting him.. terrorized all the other male fish in the tank, spawned with a texas cichlid, then maimed her badly.. now hes in a 33g temporarily with way too many convicts and jewel cichlids, and has already maimed 1 of the convicts.. I'm moving fish around, and they will be into a 55g tank tomorrow, but I had to put them in there for a few nights

Maybe your nice one is a female, aardvark? That's what happened with my midas-parrot thing. I had another, but he was obviously male and a total bastard so he went back to the pet shop, whereas Marie is definitely female (she has laid eggs before) and a total sweety
