Photos of my Golden Snails

:hey: Hey nino! It would be my pleasure. I actually got the two I have from the local PetSmart. I am pretty surprised that they are brigs. I am also awaiting the end of football season for Adistar to send me a box (about 9) of his. If he delays much longer he will have to ship Express with a heat pad. Hint hint :p

Really Petsmart? I hesitate buying them there, just incase they are plant eaters. Maybe I'll give it a try, but if it eats plants I wouldn't have anywhere to put it  . I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell the difference. Adistar told me he had none left! -_-

Hmm? I just sent Adistar a PM. Hopefully that means the ones he has are mine or my money's in the mail on it's way back to me.

At any rate, check the pointy on the snails at PetSmart. I think my pic of the gold's pointy is pretty clear. If you buy some, test the snail with some expendable plants in an escape proof container with breathe vents. Be sure to put something in they can eat. :) If they are not brigs, return them. My store called them Mystery Snails.

If you want to wait for me to get surplus stock, you can just pay for the shipping. That is until I go into the snail business.

I figure it might take about two months to get a scond generation clutch.

I'm in no hurry to get one yet, but if I'm able to find the right one I plan on snatching it right up. Next time I go to San Francisco there is supposed to be a great LFS that carries wild bettas which I plan on checking out. Maybe they'll have what I'm looking for in snails too. I hear the owner is very knowledgable.

Oooh! What you going to get--besides snails?

I don't know, I'm not entirely sure what they carry. I've only read reviews about them on the web, looks like they sometimes carry Macrostoma (i'd love those). Who knows if I'll even buy anything.. my parents are moving to Florida next summer so when I'm on break from school I have to figure out what to do with my fishes already. We'll see how it goes... it is rated the best LFS in the bay area though.

I have loved San Fransisco! I grew from about 6 to 15 years old in Martinez in the 1950's. Then lived a year or so in Daly City on Sky Line when my son was about 5. The bay Area is amazing.

Are you at SJ State U?

Poor CoryDoc, we are so rude. :*) but determined. :D

No, I'm actually at UC Santa Cruz but am originally from Half Moon Bay which is nice and close to the city.

Sorry Corydoc about Jollysue and I taking your thread for our personal chatter!

That was beautiful country; when I lived at the Top of SkyLine (after Daly City), I could see Half Moon Bay from where we were living. It was an ancient stone stables where the coachs stopped on the King's Hyway to reach the Bay crossing over the Coast range. What georgeous and fascinating country. The road didn't go through to the coast anymore.
