Wooooooo!! Hold on - a day at work and i've missed more arguing on here.
HappyGeorge I'd love to see that write up, please ignore anyone who's against. If you dont want to read it then don't.
There's a lot of people that do.
HG for taking the time to do a write up for us!
Ok as the OP let me put this to bed then and we can all kiss and make up (no tongues). I will admit to being a bit miffed that my offer was so strangely received by some when many had already expressed their interest.
I did some time ago write a guide for another section on this forum and it disappeared along with the person who requested it and was supposedly interested in setting up a resource centre, unfortunately my Laptop folded at a similar time and I was unable to recover the article I wrote, hence my bad experience and wanting to trust it to the Salties already involved in the development of the forum.
My idea was purely to get one as part of the resource unit and what had started as a genuine offer from me to give up my time to pass on some useful tips became strangely twisted. I never slated the FW side and if it looks like I did at anytime then I apologise, but that being said I am not interested in getting involved in the Photographic part of the forum or reading anything on there, I like taking pictures, sharing pictures and teaching others but I have no real interest in fish photography per se. I also don't think as many people would read that as a sticky at the top of the relevant section be it SW or FW.
I have had PM's from a number of people giving their support and asking me not to be put off by the negative comments on here and for that I thank you.
http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/19038-taking-great-fish-photos-how-to/Now that we have all moved on. What kind of topics will you be including in the guide? This interests me as my camera skills are shocking and I get confused about all the different settings you can change. Maybe include a bit thats says what each thing is and what it does? ie, macro, white balance, ISO???
Hope that makes sense.
