No problem if it helps people then that's great

These are amazingly easy to follow guides, such a nice thing for you to do! I've always wnted to know how to use a 'proper' camera, but could never grasp the settings!! Now I wish I had a camera even more!!! lol

I only have the camera on my phone, and the only settings it has are flash, ISO, exposure, sharpness, white balance, contrast and colour tone.. luckily it does atleast have a macro setting tho, which I tend to use with everything else on auto, coz it does't have enough settings to make a difference :(

Well firsty thanks I got a bit slated originally saying it was all covered but I felt it could be more simply explained for complete beginners and I think demo shots help a great deal so people can compare their own images. Will be covering White Balance and Macro, hopefully you can find a way to rest the phone against something to use the macro setting, bean bag on a step ladder? I assume it has a delay timer that you can use too. So may be something for you next week, and you can stick a Prosumer Camera on your birthday list.

Ive had a camera on my birthday list for years, but no one is nice enough to buy me one! lol. Yeah I tend to use a stack of dvd's and a tobacco tin to rest it on, annoyingly my last 2 phones have had the tripod hole on them, but this one hasn't! It does have a timer, yeah.. i tend to only use that for pictures of myself tho.. but the less said about that the better lmao!

Fantastic read. Just read 1 and 2. Im going to get my camera in a sec!!!

I cant see any of those settings on my bros camera :( No aperture setting thing. Its a lumix dmc-tz5 I guess I cant do anything with this :(

I will try and download the instruction manual and see what I can find out for you. There will be stuff of use next week Weez, more about setting up shots and technique.
