I know they can be expensive, but over the years so can test kits.

Does anyone know where I can buy one (suitable for aquarium usage) in the UK - preferably online.

Aquatics-Online have a very good selection. They are reasonalbly priced and offer an excellent service. I beleive the Hanna range to be reliable and accurate for the price. If it's local you only need to remember the last 6 or 7 - the first 4 or 5 are for inter-cities/town calls.

Besides it's no use having a snappy phone number if you don't have any electricity

Wonder how many fish have been lost though...
