Ph Levels, What Should They Be At?

On the high side of normal. So long as it's stable at 8.5, there's no problem.

Just to be safe i would get it around 8.2-8.3. Also what kind of test kit are you using?

leave it there, pH is something you dont really want to be messing with IMO.... It will lower on its own VIA the nitrogen cycle.

Yeah, if it's stable, don't monkey with it, you can do more harm than good. Test in the morning and at night to make sure it doesn't swing during the day.
