Just had a read of the Practical Fishkeeping mag for the month of May. It features some great articles on Catfish.
It also has a report on the recent Catfish Convention which was held in Wigan, Lancashire - my home town. I considered attending myself but never found the time that weekend. It was held at a place called Kilhey Court, which is wierd for me because I had my school leavers ball there a few years back. Did anyone attend the recent Convention? If so is there anything to share?
They also did a review of my two most common LFS's. Pier Aquatics & MA @ Wigan. I regularly shop at both. They really bigged Pier up, listing it as one of the best stores in the country. I can see where they are coming from, from personal experiance it is pretty darn good in Pier for fish both common and very rare. A lot of my fish are from there including my Apistogramma (below in sig) and my L-202 Pleco. MA @ Wigan is a decent shop aswell, I got my beloved Keyhole Cichlids from there.
They also had an article on a new 'nano' Catfish called the 'Robocop Catfish' which looked really nice. The extremely pleasing news for me is that they haven't been found in any stores yet - Apart from Pier Aquatics
Not going to risk it in my new setup though, don't have enough information on them yet. Has anyone got a Robocop Catfish yet?... They look similar to Zebra Oto's.
