Apart from my fishies I have 2 dogs. 1 wire haired fox terrier and a huge boxer (hes massive)

I used to keep ferrets a long time ago as well, which were very different.

i have 2 dogs; oreo an australian cattle dog (quensland heeler) and precious a border colie X mutt (mom mutt dad border colie) a talkative tabby cat :fun: Mia, a rat Ditto then there all my fish fish, which we wont go into...
 
Well apart from my newly acquired tank I have a 3 yr old Meyers Parrot called Cookie.

She's a big attention seeker and full of mischief.

my daughter wants a parrot something wicked :rolleyes: , but the attention seeking and full of mischief is exactly what holds me back :lol:

& Rabbie our 9 month old house bunny, such a sweet boy, litter box trained and another attention seeker :rolleyes: ,loves loves loves for all eyes and hands to be on him, if we're trying to watch tv on the couch he's forever climbing in my lap to be pet (ted?), crazy boy :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub:
 
The key thing with Parrots (as with any pet really) is make sure you do extensive research. There are many different species, all with different traits and needs.

Some are independant, some are very needy. Most are noisy to differing degrees.

The thing you need to think about most of all is the time involved. A Parrot may well live to be 50+ years and so isn't something to be taken on lightly.

A suggestion for a good "beginner" parrot (if there is such a thing) is one of the Poicephalus varieties ie, Meyers, Senegal, Brown Headed, Jardines.

They tend to be on average smaller, but have very strong personalities and are reasonably quiet and independant. Even these can live to 35 years though.

One thing to keep in mind though is when you get a parrot you may think you own it, but slowly realisation will dawn on you that it is in fact the parrot that owns you. :D

one seal-point himalayan cat, 4 years old and male, named Simba! he's affectionately referred to as Fur-Butt, Knothead, Fuzzie, Sim, Sim-Sim, the Assimilator and Zimbabwe.

one brindled boxer, year old and female, named Salt 'n Pepper. she's Big Silly, Big Stinkie, Pooper, Pep and Pepsi.

a sable ferret, male, 5-6 months old, named Boo. he's Lil Stinkie, Nibbles, Beast, Silly and Boo-Boo.

=) along with my fishie-butts.
 
i have a caimen, a slider turtle, two ducks, a hamster, two albino corn snakes, and two dormice.the neighbor kids call me the animal guy lol. :D
 
I have 2 cats. Vavoom a black persian and Tuxedo a black long haired something or other.
I also have a 4 ft reticulated python named... Monty :crazy:

Vita-HUGE guinney pig
Hobo-tabby cat
3 fish tanks
This is in addition to 2 boys and a husband(who is Mr. Bringhomeanypetinneed)

We have 2 dogs, a Lhasa Apso, Gemini, otherwise known as the princess of the house (she is very jealous of our new tank and she gets upset whenever we talk to our fish, but she also dosen't know she a dog!) And Sammy, our very laid back Yorkie-Poo.
 
I have 2 labs, and 3 cockatiels, and 17 fishies(I hope I gets a male and female Orange Lyretail today).
