Pets Eating Fish Food

FIV is one cruel virus and it got him a bad pneumonia and he died. :(
sorry for your loss :( we get quite a few FIV cats in and we rehome them as house cats, its actually not as bad a illness as you think once you know how to adapt and they live very long normal lives, unless your refering to FIP, now thats a cruel virus
Mine only lived 6 years and then it all went downhill despite the antibiotic treatment and such.
FIV, the one that causes cat AIDS. That's what I was ref to. Ever since Mitzury was a kitten, he was prone to digestive problems, catching colds fast and even getting to the brink of death if it weren't for the vet to save him on time when he was just 4 years old.

What's really annoying is that my hands still smell of prima.... despite washing them several times! :shout:

Nothing better then chopping garlic, feeding your fish, and not needing to claim a headache at bedtime

haha Totally kidding, don't tell my hubby I even joked about that.

You made me miss my kitties Fishblast. I had a lovely all Black Siamese mix who loved water. Sometimes I would finish washing my hair in the shower, open my eyes and yelp as my cat had jumped in and was staring at me. Very creepy thing.

Lol funny kitty. Mine used to play with the water in the bath tub while mom was in there. But one time he came running into the bathroom because he heard the water running... He jumped in before looking and splashed. I was in the bath tub. FML -.-

It took me a whole year to get used to not having my last cat around. He used to walk into my room every morning and the floor would crack when he did that. After he died, I used to wake up in the morning and still hear the floor cracking and thinking it was just a nightmare. But when I look, I realize that it was just the wind coming from the balcony door and making the floor contract. -.- That happens till this day and reminds me of him every time.

Also was used to leaving the bathroom door open for him as he used to have his litter box there. After he died, I just kept leaving it every time I walked out of the bathroom out of habit. I stopped doing that though.

My old boy, god rest his soul, used to wait until i was laid in the bath tub, then jump in and curl up on my belly with about an inch of water covering him. Very strange. The only interaction my current cat (Bubba due to his size, and cat most like its owner) is that he insists on only drinking from a running tap

I know someone who has a cat that likes drinking from the tap. I didn't know why his cat was sitting next to the kitchen sink until the guy let the tap water run.

Dry prima smells like any other fish food. Wet prima that has sat on your hands all day despite being washed with scented handwash multiple times smells like a funky nappy

All day I've been going "what IS that smell..??" only to realise it was my hands still, and going to wash them again :grr:

I'm willing to bet at least some of it is psychological... *need a smiley in a straightjacket*

If it smells like tetramin flakes, I'd smell that all day long. o_O

if you have any lemon juice that'll take the smell off

that pro-tip was free of charge!

Seriously? why would a carnivorous cat want to eat an algae wafer? My cat really scares me, but thankfully my aquarium is pretty cat proof! :good:

I'm not sure what they put in it Cazzie but I came home one day to find my latest shipment of 1/2 pound of fish food gone, except for some minor scraps in the bag. My dog had not only opened the cardboard shipping box but had eaten every bit that she could find. I tend to blame my wife for leaving the shipment within her reach, but there is something about fish food that just drives her crazy. I caught her eying my latest shipment just last week but I was in the room and she knows better than to try something like that with me around to stop her.
