If I spent as long in my lfs as I do reading on here, the neighbours would start talking, and I would probably be none the wiser!

I was in a P@H a couple of years back and heard a member of staff giving "advice" to a couple buying a marine setup from them.

Sadly the teenager was telling them to run the filter for a week then add some fish. This was the full extent of the advice.....

I actually got so mad that I complained to P@H.

I got some BS reply that was a load of tosh basically saying "we dont care what you say".

Next time I am on my other PC I will check my email archive and see if I still have the reply and re-post it.

I e-mailed them earlier today just asking for a little bit of info like 'who is trained to sell fish', 'what training do they recieve', 'where does the advice they give out come from' things like that. Might be an interesting read if I get a proper answer... not sure I even sent it to the right department though... hopefully I did. If I didn't I put a note on it asking if they could tell me where I should send it. *fingers crossed*

I don't see why fish retailers don't hire ppl that are actually in the game and know wot they are doin. Safe to say I do not buy live stock from this store. My lfs is a family business that has grew up a rep of being a safe knowledgeable helpful business, which is 1 of the few that hires fish keepers.
