Please please please do try and not remove this petition as the most digusting thing has been aired on youtube and we feel that this is totally unexceptable and something should be done about such acts of cruelty to fish.
we are asking that this forum help us in forming a petition to stop this happening again and guide us in the right direction towards prosecution of such acts.
thank you in advance

all your forum members

N.B this is not against youtube as stated- its against this member of youtube and furture ones as well

so what is this post about. what do you want the members to do?

Is it really necessary to delete the link? Granted the things going on in the video are wrong... but it's in no way "inappropriate" There's no vulgar language, and the fish doesn't die. IMO it would give this forum something interesting to discuss... for once. Though I can see why it would be deleted if people started going a-wall and throwing fits and cursing, but couldn't those posts just be edited out? *shrug* maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, lol.

some fish got tortured on you tube and modaz wants to start a petition so that you tube will stop posting video of animals getting tortured...

Modaz did you try reporting the video or contacting you tube. I would bet money that a video of an animal being tortured is against there policy. Probably no need for a petition.

And I completely understand why the mods removed the link. I don't know what the video contained but we really don't need to boost the views on that video. Obviously whoever posted a video like that wants to get a rise out of people like us. Let's just deny them the pleasure from now on. Report the vid to you tube and then we will go from there.

Thats why the link was removed, and why this thread will likely be closed. Report such cases to youtube. They will either place a warning on the video, or remove it as per their guidelines. No partitions needed! ;)

As for fish torture being an interesting discussion....what would be interesting? :( It would just be a bunch of us abusing some low life scum, and the thread would be closed. Theres no discussion aspect of the topic or video.

Id suggest talk (or create threads) about more in-depth, relevant topics relating to your particular interest in fish keeping to keep you occupied if you dont find threads here stimulating. :good:

I've banned any url that contains the word youtube, so I don't get to se any of the horrors on that site.

Havent seen the video in mention but I dont think its fair to ban any URL with youtube in, your punishing all youtube users :( I myself use you tube to upload all my video clips and now I cant post them.

Sorry Im not meaning to sound out of term, just think its not fair on those who are good pet keepers/owners.

I can't see why you-tube is doing anything wrong here. This stuff happens anyway, if anything you could argue that you-tube was spreading awareness of what some idiots are up to.

bannining future youtube links is not on, come on mods i understand why you have done this but by doing this you are declining us from a level of communication, why not give us a way that we can upload vids directly to this forum, that would work wonders for us and if anything that was not suppose to be here could be deleted immediately, give it a thought................please

The mods have not banned future linking to youtube at all, I don't know where you got that information from. I guess you probably misread The-Wolfs post saying that *he* has youtube filtered out in his forum settings. But that is in no way the doings of the moderators or admin of this forum, and it doesn't affect anyone but Wolfy himself.

The only thing that got removed by the moderators in the thread is the link that you posted. Not because it's youtube, but because it's fish cruelty which we do not support. Leaving that link up will only shock forum members and new guests that are visiting thinking of joining the forum, not to mention the amount of hits that video will get with hardly any new negative feedback.

yup :good:

I got fed up with links to the rubbish shown on that site
so I stopped myself from clicking anymore of them
now even if I get tricked into a link to it, it won't work :p
