Well I went there, a few things:

I noticed they sell somthing called "Bactinettes" they said they don't normall do it but its just came out, its kept in the fridge and your get one load of it for £5.50 and it goes in your filter (one load for up to 100l tank) and in 24 hours it would cycle your tank. I was debating on getting some but they said its still fairly new so i thought "maybe its the next cycling? but ill wait and find out"

The thing that put me off is I was told in my 35L - 8!!!!!!!!!! dwarf puffers could live happily in there.
So that put me off the shop big time!

- However I bought my dad the Aqua One 40L so I could get the planted stuff, as there was planted aquarim the same as mine with some shrimp etc. and it looked awsome! So im aiming to do my 35L a planted tank but thats a different story.

So yeah, 8 DP's...urghh that put me off when he said that.

Oh boy bactinettes, been at least a month since those were last bought up. They are not a new thing and can in some cases, help to cycle the tank quickly, however, it all depends on how well they have been handled, whether they have been kept refrigerated constantly etc. Do a search on the forum, it will bring up quite a few threads on them.

Besides your tank is getting there pretty quickly, whats todays results, pm me when you get the time

thats really really weird, they told me its 1 Dwarf Puffer to 5 gallons when I went =/ how strange =|

Should still be up, but if Im not and that ammonia is at 0, which it should be as you had 0.50 last night, then top up with 4mls again.

You can try it on the 35L tank, but I would still use some mature media or fishless cycle it, see what it does, its been known to deal with the ammonia pretty well but often leaves a nitrIte spike.

That little tank looks amazing doesnt it, they fed the fish in there while I was waiting at the till, I didnt see them before, its definately something I will plan to do one day.

Maybe you got a duff assistant? We were told one DP to 5 gallons too.

nope it was a young fella, i was mainly speaking to and old geezer though, he new his stuff! but when i asked the old geez was dealing with someone else so I asked this young guy.,
