I'm only starting a new post because Angel Lady did say not to talk about it in July's Votes thread.

I'd just like to say that I wasn't on here when TOTM was around and I'm gutted its not running anymore. I'd hate the same thing to happen to POTM.

I think it's great that there are loads of entries this month, it's fun voting and who knows the votes might be really close this month, there are so many brilliant pictures.

I think by imposing too many rules there will hardly be any entries...and as Angel Lady says it's all for a bit of fun.

Interpret pet of the month how you like and vote and nominate for who you like....let's keep it running

yeah but seriosely. I do think that it will not be fair that someone wins with a pic of someone elses cat. And yes i am pissed cause he's winning. If that was his cat though I would have no problem. You know I would love a title and thats the prize. If i were to lose i would have wanted to lose fairly. Just my opinion.
Oh and also this new thing with the people taking pics of there robotic dogs and such is just foolish. My post for that aren't to be taken seriosely. AKA Buttons.

OK fair enough...it does seem a bit unfair if the pet is not yours...as one would naturally make the assumption that it is your pet. I think I may have actually nominated that picture of Conker...it's just a very good photo. I personally dislike cats...I'm a dog lover all the way, but the photo of conker is excellent. (I don't know what the votes are like because I haven't voted yet...so can't see the results).

I agree the pic is great. Would have no problem losing to someone with a pic of there pet of that quality.

Whats the problem with someone getting their friends cat nominated? It's not like the pictures were stolen off of a website or from that cat's owner, the competition is PET of the month, not your pet of the month


This competition is supposed to be fun, not about how fair it is that someones friends pet is in the competition and winning, the cat was nominated, it's in the comp, thats it, besides, its not really a big deal if you lose, i don't think that there is even a prize involved!

You get a title if you win POTM. From Angel Lady's post...

The prize will be a title of your choice.

But as Dwarfs mentioned, when you have enough posts, you can change it yourself too.
