Parrot fishes are attempting to breed in our aquarium. The pairs have been courting for months.
It looks like they made a clean nest site removing the pebbles and in between the rocks.
They are now laying eggs and the parents are continuing to care and protect the eggs from other fishes in the aquarium.

Will they be successful?  Regards, vkn

we have two parrots that do that they go through the motions of breeding but usually just end up eating the eggs, i think some thing like 98% of male parrot are infertile so they wont breed

As far as I'm aware, 100% of male Parrot Cichlids are infertile and so there will be no successful spawns from them.

but i've heard a female can breed with male flowerhorns ect

I did say "100% of male...." :/ I wouldn't breed them with anything if I'm completely honest. There's no need really. But anyway, I answered your question :)

My Parrots gave lots of eggs last month & guarded those for 2 days but in end ate all those within a minutes
