I don't know too much about breeding the paradise fish but I have read a little. I hear that they generally build bubble nests on floating plants. I think lowering the water lever and raising the temperature will trigger spawning. In terms of parenting, the male tends to look after the kids (similar to bettas). Also similar to bettas, the male may attack the female when the fry come out. I have read that its actually best to remove both parents shortly after birth because the male will refuse to eat while parenting... and eventually may or may not eat the fry. This is just what I remember reading though, some of this could be inaccurate.
