evening all!

one of my juvenile panda corys has at some point in the last 12 hours developed some fungal growth. the barbels on the left side have disappeared somehow and there is a cotton wool like growth there on his mouth along with a small amount on his left eye. ive had them for a few weeks and this one has always seemed like the runt; being found away from the group a lot and having less of an appetite etc so i was expecting something may get hold of him at some point sadly. tried to get a photo but he is very skittish at the moment so will add one later is possible.

my water params are pH 7.4; Ammonia and nitrite 0; nitrate <10ppm. just did a 40% WC an hour ago as the nitrates were a little high before at ~30%

as far as i can tell i have two options now.
1. leave him in main tank and see if he recovers on his own after the water change as i know a load of fresh water can be a big help to sick fish
2. move him to 20l quarantine and treat with esha 2000 (only med i have to hand).

what do you guys/gals think is best? leave him? maybe at least until the morning (~12hrs from now)? or move straight to quarantine and medicate?

cheers!

got some pics at last where you can just see fungus on his eye and a redness at the base of where his barbels used to be

I'd treat it seperated and with Esha 2000. Barbellloss looks like a bacterial infection and the fungus possibly as a secundairy one..
Did you buy it or bred it? What are you feeding these little guys ?
regards Aad

poor little guy didnt make it through the night :( started treatment with Esha but to no avail. will keep course going for rest of tank
