Pakistani (yoyo) Loach...

Hi all, this is an interesting thread on the yoyos.

Barracuda518, I thought wiht yoyos, they only grow to about 10cm? Or could they grow to 8"?

I just got 3 yoyos, they are about 2" each already. They seem to be very shy and spend most of the time hiding, and they seldom shoal together...is this because I just got them? Or would I need to get more yoyos to make them feel more comfortable?

Also, are yoyos really sensitive to water conditions like clown loaches?

Its very confusing. Just make sure you have enough room if they do get that big

As for them being shy, they will be until they settle in and feel comfortable. How long have you had them? Do you have plenty of hiding places? The more the better, but only if you have the room in the tank. I had 4 and they always stayed together.

Thanks for the link. I got them yesterday and I've got them in a 240L tank at the moment, with plenty of hiding spaces, they love to hide in the narrowest of hiding spots! When I checked on them after posting the earlier msg, they were all together, swimming up and down the tank! They didn't eat much since I got them yesterday so I decided to feed them some frozen bloodworms and they slurped them all down before I knew it!!

But just before I turned out the lights, the 3 of them separated yet again, could this be because the tank is so big they just explore their own ways?

I'm planning to get another 3 yoyos tomorrow to keep them company, would 6 be a good size?
