So, you all seem to be getting new tanks and I am green with envy :alien: SO, i have started to look at my 46 gallon brackish tank, it is very lightly stocked, only has three knight gobies and two f8 - they don't really need so much room  - told them last night that they were being greedy and could expect an eviction notice shortly.

So, a couple of questions:

which skimmer should I buy, remember I am not made of money at the moment, so will be looking out for a second hand one.
AND
lighting, am thinking of just replacing the juwel bar for the high lite T5 either juwel or arcadia and putting in new reflectors with a marine white and marine blue high lite bulbs. I am happy with the type of corals I currently have in my 550, so am assuming the lighting will be ok ? I can't by a overhead as I have three lovely bengals, two of which would just love to take a bath and go on a fishing spree in an open top tank, even if i put egg crate on, they would find a way to get in, clever little munchkins :fun:

What is it with women and bargains.
Must be inbedded in their genetic makeup somewhere.

Knew you would eventually succumb , where you gonna put your puffers, will we be walking out of pets@home on wednesday evening with a small tank under our arm :D

Just want to say that I have read this journal through twice now, has been really inspirational for setting up my own Nano reef although I don't have the same tank. Has been incredibly entertaining along the way too. Have made a note of "THE BOOK" and this will be my next purchase Thanks.
