And, I have to have real butter, or nothing, lol....I understand some people can't have it in their diet, though

No apology needed lol I was starting like the word differences between the two countries like Iv always wondered what’s pop in the USA as it’s soda here and what do you lot call thick cut french fries ? As we call them chips but that means crisp over there yeah

"Soda" here as well, and "steak-cut" fries...."chips" here (like potato chips) are called "crisps" there, correct?
What about Cheetos, lol....

Sorry I ment we call soda, pop , does pop have a meaning in the USA or just a type of music ? And is it common knowledge in the USA , say if I walked into a shop and said can I get 20 fags a can of pop and a bag of crisps would they hve any idea what I wanted lol

Some call it "pop" here, but that's outdated, the young kids just call it soda...and no, a person in a shop here would have no clue what you were talking about, lol....especially "fags", that's a derogatory term here, I'm afraid..... :unsure:

Must be to do with Hollywood and American movies that we understand most of the lingo you lot use , last annoying question ... if a restaurant is serving fish n chips do they label it as fish n fries ? Or is it allowed to be called chips if served with fish lol

Indeed.....but if it means both there, why not just call them "cigs", instead?...to avoid any confusion, lol
