I've read that otto's will do fine in anywhere between 68-76 degree water.
I've been "told" by lfs people that they wont survive in even 74 degree water, but need at least 78-80.
Well, I have several otto's living in 76-78 degree water for a long time now and are fat and healthy.
Anyone else have simaliar experiences, that is living in cooler water, say 72-76 degree's?

Actually mine live in a warmer enviroment and are perfectly happy. Between 79-82f. I guess so long as the temp is steady and doesn't experience alot of fluctuation they can pretty much cope with a fair range. Like alot of fish they get used to certain conditons, even if it's not entirely the same as their wild version.
Hugs,
P.
