from what i hear otos are really sensitive so its best to wait til your tank is well established.i had the same problem with plecos. good luck with your new ones when you get them. they are really cute. i had one too but lost it to the same thing.
 
i brought four, iv now only got one left.... my tanks not a newly set up one, its been set up for months with only 1 fish death ( my fighter)


as said many times in this post, otos are extreamly sensitive fish, i love hem, but i wont be gettin anymore, i dont feel that i know enough about them to actualy own them, where as before i broguht them i thought i knew enough :/

i also wont be branching out into discus either cause they too are extreamy sensitive.


but sayin that neons are supposed to be the same, i brought five at least 3 months ago and still have five, sorry to hear about ur loss tho :(
