You just dont know ger87410, Oscars are weird cichlids and they have mood swings, for all we know it could be depresstion or stress.

Have you ever had a fish get ammonia/nitrite poisoning? I have and most of the time they don't recover. It's very, very bad, not to mention sad.

That fish looked like it had a major disease.. thomas the minute you saw her unhealthy you should have done major water changes daily..

My tap water has a ph of higher then 8 and ammonia at about 1.2 and who knows what other problems. I couldn't get good bottled water that I could find.

What location? Mainly you look for a bottled water or purified water source that uses reverse osmosis filtration as well as microfiltration and carbon filtration. An alternative is go buy a RO filter for about $150.

I live in brisbane, queensland australia. Our water has been crappy recently.
