Yep, it certainly is a fabulous feeling when you see them swimming around normally for the first time. You can almost see the smile spread across their face as they can, for the first time, swim in a straight line, or watch them discover it isn't painful or really, really hard to swim up to the top for air. There's nothing like it.
I'll never forget the day I decided to give Jasper his first water change. After 5 days of heavy meds, he had been hanging around in a plant not moving at all. When I put him back into his tank after the change was over, it was almost like he realized he could swim. He was a swimming freak after that, and he still hasn't stopped!
I LOVE that picture of the bird and your fishy. That's priceless! lol
and super cutie tank! It looks like there's tons of fun in there for him!
And I know what you went thru with Haiku, because of Amos.
It's hard to put yourself out there again and take the risk of losing another one, but I've decided the benefits of having them here with us for a while are far greater than the pain we'll feel when they're gone, and have bought 12 more since I bought Amos.
